About Helen:

Helen was first drawn to permanent makeup some 27 years ago when it became apparent this concept would enhance a woman’s beauty while simplifying her life. This was a natural progression after a life-long interest in art, esthetics and cosmetology.

Permanent Cosmetics by HelenIn-depth research and involvement in classes and programs led to her certifications by the American Academy of Micropigmentation (AAM). While studying paramedical procedures (AIPCT) under Dr. Kristanne Matzak, she furthered her training in the art of areola tattooing and scar camouflage.

In 1999, Helen began working at Puget Sound Plastic Surgery, Federal Way, WA, where she was able to work extensively in scar camouflage, areola tattooing and permanent makeup procedures, as well as direct others in their procedures. She is currently a member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP) and continues to grow with the industry by attending annual training seminars. She is also a Certified Dixon Technique Instructor.  Helen has served as a member of a Washington State committee, studying the licensing of permanent cosmetic artists, body piercers and tattoo artists.  

Beyond the professional qualification Helen possesses, she is also very sensitive and aware that every person desires a natural look as opposed to an artificial or unnatural appearance. Careful consideration and consultation is done at each level and every procedure is specific to the individual. Knowing the importance of such procedures, Helen in the SAAVE, a program which provides free areola tattooing for breast cancer patients with limited resource.

She works with clients in her Federal Way, WA studio and at Vitality Medispa and Wellness Center in Seattle.  Helen has perfected hundreds of eyebrows, eyeliners and lip liners, and continues her passion for enhancing the beauty in others.
